Help Center

Find answers to common questions about creating events, managing galleries, and getting the most out of Capture.

Getting Started

Open the Capture app, tap the "+" button on the home screen, and follow the guided setup. You'll choose a name, date, and cover image for your event. Once created, a unique QR code is generated automatically for your guests.

Guests can join by scanning the QR code you share with them. They don't need to create an account — just scan, enter a display name, and start sharing photos instantly.

Yes, guests will need to download the Capture app (available on iOS and Android) to scan the QR code and upload photos to your event gallery.

Absolutely! You can create and manage as many events as you like. Switch between them from your home screen.

Photos & Gallery

Once you've joined an event, tap the camera button at the bottom of the gallery. You can take a new photo or select existing ones from your camera roll.

Yes! As the event host, you can download all photos at once from the event settings. Individual guests can also save any photo from the gallery to their device.

Free events support up to 100 photos. Premium events offer unlimited photo uploads so you never miss a moment.

Photos are stored in their original resolution. We never compress or reduce the quality of your uploads.

QR Codes

Open your event and tap the QR icon in the top-right corner. You can display it on screen, share it as an image, or print it for table cards and signage.

Each event has a unique QR code generated automatically. If you need a new code (for example, to revoke access), you can regenerate it from the event settings.

Make sure the screen brightness is turned up and the code is not obstructed. If printing, use a minimum size of 3×3 cm. Ensure your guests have camera permissions enabled for the app.

Account & Settings

Go to your Profile tab and tap on your name or avatar to edit. Changes will be reflected across all your events.

Navigate to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Please note that this action is permanent and will remove all your data, including events you've hosted.

You can control notification preferences from Profile → Settings → Notifications. Choose which alerts you'd like to receive for new photos, comments, and event updates.

Privacy & Security

Only people who have joined your event through the QR code can view and upload photos. Events are completely private and not discoverable by anyone outside the group.

Yes. As the event host, you have full moderation control. Tap and hold on any photo to delete it, or go to Guest Management to remove a participant.

Your photos are stored securely with end-to-end encryption in transit. We never share, sell, or use your data for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Troubleshooting

Check your internet connection and ensure the app has permission to access your photo library. If the issue persists, try force-closing and reopening the app. Large batches may take a moment on slower connections.

Try resetting your password via the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen. If you signed up with a social account, make sure you're using the same provider. Contact support if you still need help.

Make sure you're running the latest version of Capture from the App Store or Google Play. If the problem continues, try clearing the app cache or reinstalling. Reach out to support with your device model and OS version.
